About the Role

The role will work closely with Co-founders to define the strategic direction and demonstrate leadership & accountability to the Brand Marketing & Strategy. 

As the Senior Brand Manager, the individual will drive the brand marketing strategy for Teachmint aligned with the firm’s objectives. The individual will be responsible to set up and lead the brand marketing covering PR, marketing communication, content strategy across social media, and production (design/creative). The individual has to ensure smooth coordination and collaboration with other cross functional teams (leadership, digital marketing, , acquisitions, community, product, etc.) and own up the output & associated performance indicators. Also, senior brand manager will optimise brand communication efforts by conducting ongoing usability tests to gauge effectiveness of initiatives undertaken.


PR & Communication

  • Formulate and implement PR strategies, manage communication with external agencies, as well as develops media marketing strategies and other non-campaign activities
  • Develop brand playbook (style guides/templates/other materials)
  • Communicate a compelling brand story, and a design sensibility to envision how brand and content can be presented/distributed in formats other than text-based articles, such as infographics or multimedia presentations

Social Media & Other Channels

  • Increase Teachmint's presence on digital (priority) and offline platforms, social media (Instagram, FB, LinkedIn, etc.) and increase media coverage for external Communication
  • Translate brand marketing strategy into measurable tangible and intangible business  and community engagement metrics on traffic, engagement, retention, etc.
  • Scale up content and add to customer experiences across mediums to build differentiated and engaging content that is specifically tailored for each of customer touch points
  • Develop standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing
  • Partner closely with Digital/Performance Marketing, Community and YouTube Channel teams to create content for social media channels, websites, and SEO/SEM
  • Craft and maintain content calendars, content assets, and content development plans relevant for achieving business and customer KPIs

Production (Creative & Design)

  • Manage internal and external team/agency covering stylists, video/image editors to deliver high quality creatives for the brand
  • Plan and manage the pipeline for the production team
  • Conceptualise, lead and provide images and videos for all digital mediums
  • Ensure that production is cost-effective, within timelines & budget

Experience Required:

  • At least 6+ years of experience in brand communication and content marketing, development for a B2C online brand is preferable
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated leadership i.e. managing brand marketing team experience
  • Should have been a part of rapid growth company(s)
  • Proven experience in developing strongly differentiated positioning and segmentation strategies in B2C environment that have met or exceeded business objectives
  • Past experience in PR industry highly preferable
  • Analytical abilities to collect key business and user insights, and apply their strategic planning skills to create a long-term vision for the brand marketing & content strategy
  • Be highly aware of social media trends and analytics
  • Ability to lead in a startup set up environment and bring in the needed flexibility & agility
  • Standout idea generator and problem solver with excellent communication skills
  • Graduation (mandatory) / MBA (nice to have)
